Shia LaBeouf made a big reveal while appearing on Bishop Robert Barron's YouTube series, Bishop Baron Presents.
Actor, whose mother is Jewish and has previously discussed being baptized as well as a bar mitzvah.
During the preparation of the film, LaBeouf, known as the "law actor", lived in a monastery with the Capuchin Franciscan monks.
LaBeouf explained, "Now I know that God was using my ego to pull me towards Him. He was turning me away from worldly desires. It was happening all at once."
It was there, and through learning more about religion for the role, he realized that he was not only allowed to convert.
