The hype is because Good Luck Jerry is a remake of the 2018 Tamil movie Kolamaavu Kokila. Kolamaavu Kokila was one of the most loved Tamil movies in 2018. The movie dealt with a severe issue with amazing comedy scenes.
Kolamaavu Kokila was a dark comedy movie that was unique in its way. The inclusion of Nayanthara as everyone and the movie loved the lead cast was an instant hit. And obviously, the makers of Good Luck Jerry want to repeat the same success.
