Jersey Movie Review: Shahid Kapoor and Mrinal Thakur’s film Jersey is releasing in theaters on April 22 and as you know that Shahid and Mrinal’s film Jersey is the Hindi remake of the Telugu film Jersey released in 2019.
Apart from Shahid, actress Mrunal Thakur, and Pankaj Kapoor are also in lead roles. The film Journey, directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, tells the story of a cricketer who loves the sport at all ages.
Jersey is based on the career journey of Arjun Talwar (Shahid Kapoor), a Ranji star cricketer from Chandigarh. Jersey Movie Review: Plot
The story of the film Jersey is of Arjun Talwar (Shahid Kapoor), who is a brilliant cricketer and people are crazy about him his dream is to have an Indian team jersey but then suddenly he quits cricket.
However, luck does not support him even there and due to some reason, he has to lose his job. In such a situation, now his son one day asks him for the jersey of Team India and the whole story turns, because Arjun Talwar, who does not work, does not have enough money to get the jersey to his son.
It just starts with the game of jerseys and how Arjun Talwar goes back to the cricket field and makes every effort to get his son the jersey. Will he be able to return to cricket? Jersey Review: Acting is Very Strong
Shahid Kapoor’s performance in Jersey is reminiscent of Kabir Singh, with passion, anger, and then despair and disintegration at not getting the floor. Pankaj Kapur’s performance as Arjun’s coach Madhav Sharma shows father-son chemistry, he is also Shahid Kapoor’s father in real life, so both look quite comfortable on screen too.
Shahid fits in the role of a 26-year-old boy and also in the role of a 36-year-old man. Mrinal Thakur is wonderful in the role of Shahid’s wife. This will also be considered his best performance.
