Tejas will be released on 5th October 2022 on the occasion of Dusshera.
“I have always wanted to play a soldier and have been fascinated with the Armed Forces since childhood. I have never held back my emotions for our jawans and spoken openly about how strongly I feel about their heroism. They keep our country secure and our people safe. So, I am very happy to be doing this film.” This was the first confirmation statement by Kangana about her upcoming movie – Tejas.
Kangana Ranaut will be seen as an Air Force pilot in Tejas. The shooting of the film has already begun and will be produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Sarvesh Mewara. They are the same creators who made URI: The Surgical Strike movie featuring Vicky Kaushal.

Kangana expressed her gratitude to the makers of Tejas for trusting her with the role. Admitting that she “was dying to get in a uniform”, Kangana said, “I’m thankful to Ronnie sir and Sarvesh who have come to me with this extraordinary script that celebrates the heroism of our soldiers… Being in uniform will be one of the biggest highlights of my life.”
Tejas movie is written to raise a sense of pride and most importantly inspire the youth of India, this mission-based film takes us through some of the most challenging combat missions our forces undertake in their effort to keep our country and us safe from terrorism.
