Khuda Haafiz 2 Review: The second part of the Khuda Haafiz franchise has hit the theaters and it exceeded all the expectations. The first part of the movie was very good, one of the most gripping movies I have ever seen.
And the second part did not let us down in any way. Going into the theater, there was a fear that this movie might have the same problems as other Vidyut Jammwal films. That is to forget everything in the name of action.
Thank god it did not happen in this movie. And what we got actually was a very gripping movie with an amazing narrative that will make you sit in the theater throughout. It is one of the rare surprises of 2022 so far.
Khuda Haafiz’s 2 first half was even more gripping than the original one. And yes, the movie will suffer because of clashing dates with Thor: Love and Thunder and Rocketry. And it was visible in the theaters.
Khuda Haafiz 2 Review: Plot
The official synopsis of the movie reads, “Sameer and Nargis, after overcoming all odds, find a ray of sunshine when little Nandini enters their lives and their family is complete; But their happiness is short-lived. In a bizarre twist of fate, Nandini goes missing.”
Khuda Haafiz 2 will pick up from the ending of the first part. Sameer has saved Nargis and brought her back, but something is missing. It all changes when they adopt a girl Nandini and their lives start again.
But just when everything was going well, Nandini gets abducted, and everything shatters down. Finding their daughter is the only thing that matters to the new parents, and Sameer will go to any length to protect his family.
Khuda Haafiz 2 Review: Things That Worked Out For The Movie
Music
The music in the first part was brilliant. And the music album of the second part is just phenomenal. every song just captures the emotions of the movie perfectly. The raw action scenes are made 100 times better by the song in the background.
Even if you don’t plan to watch this movie you should listen to the music album at least once. You won’t regret it even a little bit.
Cinematography
This movie is just way too beautiful. The way the movie was shot in different locations is just sublime. Even the light color tone in the first half when everything was right changed to a dark and colorless tone in the second half.
And everything was done in a way that was not obvious to you. I adore the directors that use different color palettes to show the emotions of characters. And Khuda Haafiz 2 was just perfection in that area.
Emotional Involvement
You can now stop saying that Vidyut Jammwal only does action masterpieces and his movie does not have any emotional involvement. Khuda Haafiz made me emotional and the second part takes it up a notch.
The emotional rollercoaster that this movie is will blow your mind. The first half will become a perfect platform for you to understand Vidyut’s motive behind his every action. Agni Pariksha is the most emotionally vulnerable movie by Vidyut to date.
Cast
The cast is just brilliant. Shivaleeka Oberoi as Nandini did a fine job. It is amazing to see how far she has come since “Ye Saali Zindagi”. Dibyendu Bhattacharya is also brilliant as the right-hand man of the antagonist.
And now talking about the antagonist, the decision to cast Sheeba Chadda was a masterstroke. She just showed by artists like her are important to the industry. She was scary and formidable at the same time.
Vidyut Jammwal
‘Vidyut Jammwal‘ in an R-Rated action movie is a blessing for every action movie fan. The man did not miss a single beat and put his heart out in the movie. He has also come a very long way since his debut.
From being a man who lost everything, to a revived man and then again to a man who lost everything, his transitions were emotional. His facial expressions and eyes told you everything you wanted to know about the situation.
Khuda Haafiz 2 Review: Things That Did Not Work Out For The Movie
Over The Top Scenes
There are certain scenes in the movie that will make you question what went into the director’s mind. They are not something that will ruin the movie for you and actually add to the story on a wider scale.
But on the front, some of the scenes did not make any sense. Like when Nargis left Sameer and put all the blame on him. That scene came out of nowhere and left you bewildered for a while. The scene made sense to progress the movie, but the progression till then did not make any sense.
Forced Action Scenes
Just what I was afraid of. Vidyut Jammwal movies forget the plot in the final third and focus more on the action. The same thing happened here to a very limited extent. It is not an in-your-face kind of scene like in previous movies.
But it is still obvious to a certain extent. And we should really salute Vidyut for the dedication he gives in an action flick. His work ethic to make an action scene as smooth as possible is just out of this world.
Khuda Haafiz 2 Review: Is It Worth It?
Khuda Haafiz 2 Review: In a week where we got a very mediocre multi-million movie like Thor and in a previous week where we got one of the worst movies like OM. This movie seems like the clear winner. Even if we don’t compare it to these two movies, it stands out on its own.
It will make you emotional on every single scale. It is surely a surprise package that will be ignored by almost everyone. And it is just sad to see.
