Killing Eve Season 4 is going to be released very soon. The premiere of the fourth season told us what we can expect from the final season of the show. It is sad to see how far Killing Eve has fallen down from the first two seasons.
The fourth season is good, don’t get us wrong. But there is something missing that we can’t quite point out yet. It feels like a completely different bland show. Which would have been dumped by critics if the first three seasons were not that good.
The fourth season actually runs because of the previous three seasons. The first two seasons that were made available one week earlier to AMC+ subscribers depicted that only. It was not bad but was not able to keep us occupied as well.
It was kind of bittersweet. Some of the scenes were truly amazing, but some were really out of place. The fourth season can very well pick up the pace in upcoming episodes, but considering the first two episodes, it seems really hard.
Killing Eve Season 4: Plot
Killing Eve Season 4 starts after sometime of Season 3 finale. We won’t tell you much as it will be a really big spoiler. We will try to tell you the main plot without spoiling it in any way. Let’s take a look at the trailer for the plot.
Eve is working at a private security firm after leaving MI6. Because she loves danger and can’t get enough of it in any way. She works alongside Yusuf, who is really fit and is Eve’s new fling. And with Eve’s constant insistence, their relationship is completely platonic.
Eve is also working on a case off-the-books and you guys must already know that. She is searching for Villanelle. Until Villanelle comes in front of Eve herself. And the meeting was not good as you expected it to be.
Villanelle insists that she has changed but proving that will be another tedious task. And both of them go on an adventure once again proving that both of them have changed and can live together.
Killing Eve: Verdict
It looks like Killing Eve Season 4 focuses on the wrong things. Instead of addressing the points, they had in the first place, it simply glances at them from outside. Whenever there was a genuine event happening, it was ruined by some kind of cut.
And it happened so many times in the first two episodes only. Villanelle’s arc could have been monumental and had the potential to be completely defining. But as I stated, it never acknowledged the fact that changing someone’s personality is really hard.
Most of the time it was just random people appearing to show that the final season has an amazing cast. And it was because the show lacked proper character development or a scene.
All of these are just some minor problems, but if they exist by the final episode, it can be disastrous for the series. We don’t know how the series will end, but something needs to change to make the final season a success.
Killing Eve: Release Date
The final season of Killing Eve is all set to release on February 27, 2022. It will premiere on AMC+ and BBC America. There is a piece of good news for all the AMC+ subscribers, as they will be able to watch episodes one week prior to the linear viewers.
The only exception is the final which will air on the same date for everyone. The finale is going to stream on April 10, 2022. Earlier it was April 18, but it is good that we are getting it earlier now.
Killing Eve: Is It Worth It?
No matter the problems, Killing Eve will always be a good show to watch. The chemistry between the lead performers and other artists makes it all worth it. There might be low points in season 4, but there are high points as well.
If you have watched the first three seasons, there is no doubt that you should watch Season 4. And if you haven’t started Killing Eve yet, you should start it now. The first two seasons are too good to miss out on.
