Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight: It is time to expand the Kung Fu Panda universe and we are so excited about it. Netflix surprised us with Panda Day back in March when they announced a new Kung Fu Panda animated series. And every fan around the globe was not able to keep calm.
And finally, after almost a month there has been some development regarding the show. It is kind of huge. Two days ago it was announced that Rita Ora has joined the cast of Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight as the second lead.
We all know how big of a star Rita Ora is. And her joining the cast of Kung Fu Panda is a massive boost to the franchise. Rita Ora will play the role of Po’s sidekick in the show “Wandering Blade”. She is an English knight.
It will be Rita Ora’s first role as a voice actor. We have seen her before on our screen so many times. And she also made her OTT debut with The Batwoman back in 2019 with CW. Netflix also released some first-look images of her character. The character looks like a complete knight with a deadly and amazing sword. She looks like a no-nonsense knight and it will make an amazing contrast with Po, who is always joking.
Kung Fu Panda: Plot

The plot of the show is basic and pretty simple. Po will be accompanied by Wandering Blade on a mission to find and retrieve a set of powerful weapons stolen by two weasels. And we all know how Po works when he is given a serious mission.

Other than Rita Ora, Jack Black will be once again returning as Po. He will be the lead once again and that is something to be excited about. James Hong will also return as Po’s father Mr. Ping. The complete cast announced so far:

As of this moment, Netflix has not announced any specific release date. The release date will be announced soon along with the trailer of the show. We might get a release date by the end of the month.
