Watchlist for October: October is a big month for movies for more than one reason. Finally, the movies are releasing in cinema halls at a consistent rate now. These movies might not be from Bollywood, but at least we are getting something.
And October has lots of high-profile movies releasing in halls as well as on OTT platforms. I know that almost half of October is over but we still got some really amazing movies to talk about.
OTT platforms like Disney+ Hotstar will rule October 2021 in terms of Bollywood releases, whereas Hollywood movies will release in halls mostly. So, let’s get on with the list as these are the movies To Look Out For In October 2021.
Movies to watch in October 2021 – Watchlist for October 2021
Rashmi Rocket
Release Date – 15 October 2021
Watchlist for October: Let’s start with the movie that I am looking forward to the most. And the main reason for that is Taapsee Pannu. The movie will feature an inspiring story of a small-town girl, who overcomes all societal barriers to become a national-level athlete.
But all of her hard work and glory will be hindered as she will be forced to take a gender test. She gets boycotted by the team and has to live her life in shame. But she decides to take the fight against the sports association itself.
Will she succeed in her quest for justice? Or will Rashmi become another victim of mistreatment of athletes and dirty politics in sports? We will have to wait and see.
The trailer of the movie looked really good and all of us know how great Taapsee Pannu really is. And she will definitely make it worth watching.
Venom
Release Date – 15 October 2021
This movie has already been released in the USA and other countries but will release in Indian halls on 15 October 2021. Yes, Venom part 2 will exclusively release in the cinema halls. And I can guarantee you that it is one of the best experiences you will ever have.
We have already written a detailed review of the movie on our site, you can check that out. But Venom: Let There Be Carnage was just a fun ride from the start to the finish. It was everything I ever wanted in a Venom movie and it rocked.
Even after a weak plot and certain other problems, it was a really fun movie to watch. I had a really great time while watching this movie. And if I get a chance, I will love watching it again.
Sardar Udham
Release Date – 16 October 2021
The movie will focus on the life of Sardar Udham Singh. Sardar Udham Singh was only 20 years old when the Jallianwala Bagh massacre happened. He somehow escaped India after being severely massacred by the event and somehow reached London.
And after spending six years there and igniting the light of independence in England’s home, he did what no one expected him to. He shot General Dwyer and gladly sacrificed his life for that.
The movie will follow his journey and all the struggles he had to face to achieve what he sought after. I am expecting big things from this one. If they can present this movie in a raw manner, I think it would be a banger. Vicky Kaushal will steal the show with his acting.
And the trailer has given me an aesthetic vibe, which has made me more excited for the movie than I already was. So, I am going to watch it as soon as it is released.
Dune
Release Date – 22 October 2021
Dune is definitely one of the biggest movies of the year without any doubt. I thought no movie will top F9 in terms of stature during the pandemic. But, obviously, I forgot about Dune at that moment.
Dune is a Feature adaptation of Frank Herbert’s science fiction novel, about the son of a noble family entrusted with the protection of the most valuable asset and most vital element in the galaxy.
Dune will also release in the halls and on HBO Max too. And since HBO Max is not available in India, halls are the only way for us to watch it.
I am expecting an amazing movie here. And I am hyped up for it. If you haven’t watched the trailer you should watch it now. And you will know what I am talking about.
The Last Duel
Release Date – 22 October 2021
So, The Last Duel has Matt Damo, Ben Affleck, Jodie Comer, Adam Driver, and Harriet Walter in the main cast and it is a period drama. I think I have listed all the reasons already why you should watch this movie.
The movie is based on the book The Last Duel: A True Story of Trial by Combat in Medieval France by Eric Jager. It is a period drama and you can expect big things from this.
Set in 1368, Marguerite de Carrouges claims she has been raped by her husband’s best friend. Her husband, knight Jean de Carrouges, challenges his friend and squire Jacques Le Gris to trial by combat. It is the last legally sanctioned duel in France’s history.
Hum Do Hamare Do
Release Date – 29 October 2021
So, Rajkumar Rao and Paresh Rawal are coming together with Maddock film to make another really family delightful comedy movie. After movies like Stree, Bala, Mili, and Luka Chuppi, the Maddock family is ready to give us another banger.
The movie casts Kriti Sanon, Rajkumar Rao, Paresh Rawal, Aparshakti Khurana, and Ratna Pathak Shah in the mail lead. The movie will feature Rajkumar Rao and Kriti Sanon as a couple planning their wedding.
But the problem is that Kriti asks Rajkumar Rao for his parent’s approval and for some reason he hires fake parents so that this marriage can happen. Now, it will be chaos as we expect it to be. But, it will be fun once again.
