On January 15, 2022, the creators posted the update to their Twitter handles to announce the postponement of the film on the scheduled release date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Acharya Got a new Release Date

Acharya Release Date
The shoot of Acharya got completed long back, and the post production getting over recently, the film was getting to be released on February 4, 2022. The team was ready for the grand release of the movie.
However, the pandemic played its role and the film had to be postponed. Now, in big positive news for Mega fans, it has been officially announced by the creators that Acharya will hit the theater screens on April 1, 2022.
A poster has been released to announce this, showing Chiranjeevi holding anger on his face and an axe in his hand, walking amid a festival, with a temple car exactly behind him.
Acharya is written and directed by Koratala Siva and is produced by Niranjan Reddy and Anvesh Reddy on the Matinee Entertainment production banner. Smt Surekha Konidela is presenting the film.
Kajal Aggarwal and Pooja Hegde are the leading female characters of Acharya, while the film has a musical score by Mani Sharma. Cinematography and editing are taken care of by Tirru and Naveen Nooli, respectively.
