The rise of Brahmanandam
Brahmanandam’s rise to fame was not without its challenges. Brahmanandam’s talent for mimicry was first noticed while he was a Telugu lecturer at Attili College. A famous Telugu film director, Jandhayala, saw Brahmanandam acting in a play and was so impressed that he offered him a small role in the film “Chantabai.” And with that, Brahmanandam’s film career was born.
Brahmanandam was the first choice for directors in the South film industry for over two decades. All the characters were offered to him, whether it was a supporting role or the hero’s friend. And it’s no wonder why – Brahmanandam’s talent and popularity made him one of the biggest stars of the 1990s and 2000s.
