Criminal intimidation case on Salman Khan: On April 5, the High Court had stayed the summons till May 5. Later, Salman Khan’s bodyguard Sheikh also filed a petition challenging the summons.
On Thursday, both the petitions came up for hearing before a single bench of Justice NJ Jamadar.

Metropolitan Magistrate RR Khan had issued summons to Salman Khan and Shaikh on March 23, observing that a police report submitted in the case stated.

The issuance of a summon marks the initiation of criminal proceedings before a Metropolitan or Judicial Magistrate on the basis of a complaint lodged by a person.
