RRR Box Office Collection Day 1: RRR was released on 25 March, yesterday and made a record of the All-Time Record Opening at the Box Office. Bahubali director Rajamouli’s latest movie RRR has opened to a thunderous response at the box office from the audience. As per early estimates of the RRR Box Office Collection, the period action drama grossed more than Rs 120 Crore at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana box office on Day 1, emerging as one of the highest openers in the state.
In Tamil Nadu, RRR made nearly Rs 10 Crore while it amassed Rs 14 Crore and Rs 4 Crore in Karnataka and Kerala Box Office respectively. On the other hand, the Hindi version of RRR was able to collect a decent Rs 25 Crore in the North. With its overseas business, the film grossed Rs 75 Crore approx, making RRR Day 1 Box Office Collection Rs 260 Crore (approx). The Movie benefitted from the early morning show, and the leading stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s popularity among the young audiences also played a role in skyrocketing the collection. The collection has reportedly outperformed the duo’s previous projects Vinaya Vidheya Rama (2019) and Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018) respectively. Well, going by the first-day collection numbers and overwhelming response, RRR’s initial buzz might not fade anytime soon at the Box Office and it will help the movie keep up the momentum of creating a few more records.
Moreover, there is no major competition as RRR is the only major South release of the week. For the unversed, Ram Charan is playing the roles of freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Jr NTR as Komaram Bheem in the movie. Set in pre-independence India, the film is a fictional take on the younger days of the celebrated freedom fighters. Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt also play key roles in the movie.
