Tribute to Pandit Shivkumar Sharma: After the demise of renowned santoor player Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, social media has been flooded with condolence messages from his fans.

He died due to cardiac arrest in Mumbai. He was suffering from kidney problems for the last six months and was undergoing dialysis.

Pandit Shivkumar Sharma was born in a musical family in Kashmir. He took his early education in music from his father. He had mastered the santoor. He also took a job as a broadcaster with Jammu Radio at the age of 15.
Panditji got recognition in 1955 when he was called to play the role of Santoor at an event in Mumbai.
