Home Shanti Review: Indian Web-Series industry is on a slice-of-life hook right now. And that is a very good thing. It is a much-needed step away from all the crime thriller and gory stuff that Indian web series usually go with.
Shows like Gullak season 3 and Sharmaji Namkeen started the wave of a good slice of life light-hearted shows. And the hope was that Home Shanti would continue that trend but it really fell off the expectations.
The show covers a really emotional topic that could have been one of the best things we have seen for a very long time. But with inconsistent plot and narration, it was not able to catch our attention even a little bit.
It is not like Home Shaanti was completely disappointing. Some of the moments of the show were really good and could have melted anyone’s heart. But the inconsistent storytelling really killed off those moments for you as well. Also read: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Day 1 Collection

Home Shanti Review: What Worked For The Show
Home Shanti Cast
The cast was undoubtedly the strongest area of the show. Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak are seasoned artists and once again they showed why they are considered seasoned artists. Their performances were definitely top-tier.
If you ask us what is the one reason we can give you to watch this show, it will be Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak’s performances only. They lead the cast with their strong performances. Their chemistry as a couple was just amazing.
Chakori Dwivedi and Poojan Chhabra as the Joshi’s kids also did an amazing job. They understood their roles and acted accordingly. This show also proved why Sameer Saxena is an underrated actor. Also read: Shweta Tripathi web series, whom you see in ‘Escaype Live’ shared the full script
Even though his role was really short, he made the most of it. Every scene where he was on screen was worth watching. Nidhi Bisht also made the most of the opportunity given to her.
Simplicity and Realistic
Home Shanti never deviates from the path of simplicity and realism. There was not a single scene that felt unrealistic. Aakanksha Dua kept the show simple and realistic at all times. And that is the best thing.
The show felt relatable most of the time. With siblings fighting over small matters. A couple’s small squabble becomes a serious fight in a matter of minutes. And parents kill their dreams for the sake of their children.
It is all so relatable and things that you see in your daily life. If the show was even a little bit unrealistic, it would have been really hard to stick with it for the entirety of 3 hours. Read now: AVATAR 2 (2022) The Way Of Water Trailer, Film Releasing on Dec 16, 2022
Home Shanti Review: What Did Not Work For The Show?
Inconsistent Storytelling
The real killer for the show has to be the inconsistent storytelling for sure. The episodic format of the show never really kicked off with each episode telling a different story. Don’t get us wrong, we are not against the episodic format of the show.
But when you have a main storyline that has to take the most important in any kind of show. Gullak worked as an episodic format show because there was no concurrent storyline. But Home Shanti had one.
And most of the time it felt like we were diverging from that and focusing on something new. Characters did not get much screen time as they should have. For you: TamilRockers Leaked Thar Full Movie Download, also leaked on Telegram Links Download
Predictable
This was always going to be a predictable show. But it got worse with each passing episode. After 3 episodes everyone knew that the siblings are going to fight on a very trivial matter. Another obstacle will come in front of them.
And they all will come united to clear that problem off. There is nothing wrong with that. But after the first two episodes, it started feeling dragged out and repetitive. And that is not the feeling you want in a mere 6 episode series.
Home Shanti Review: Is It Worth It?
Home Shanti is not a bad web series in any way. It is endearing at moments and really relatable. It will make you laugh many times and will also make you feel emotional. It ticks all the boxes that a slice-of-show should tick.
But it is not consistent with it. It will also make you feel bored and in a loop. It will also frustrate you at times. It could have been one of the best shows of 2022 but was never able to leave the average tag behind it. Keep reading: Jayeshbhai Jordaar Title Song Out: Jayeshbhai’s style came to the fore
