Unpaused Naya Safar Review: Unpaused is going to make you connect with the series. The second installment of Unpaused is a pleasantly heartbreaking watch. Three out of the five stories in the Unpaused Naya Safar are daily workers. And the intention is clear that they are to connect on the emotional level.

The official synopsis reads, “5 unique filmmakers – Nupur Asthana, Ayappa KM, Ruchir Arun, Shikha Makan, and Nagraj Manjule – share new stories of hope, love, connections and 2nd chances that celebrate the resilient human spirit in these uncertain times.”

The Couple follows the story of a couple where the wife has lost her job. And in the pandemic, that is a worrying situation. But at the end of the day, the husband comes up with a quirky idea to save the day.
Gond Ke Laddu might have been my favorite episode by far. The story features Delivery agent Rohan who has to get a five-star rating by the end to save his job. War Room is a story about Widowed Sangeeta, who works in Mumbai Covid-19 war room. She goes on her day until a caller becomes someone she blames for a significant loss in her past. Will she be the bigger person and help the person out?
Teen Tigada had one of the most exciting concepts I have ever seen. It follows the story of three thieves hiding in a factory after a loot. Vaikunth follows the story of Vikas, who works at Vaikunth crematorium. He buries bodies without any thought to them. Realist Concept
The first season of Unpaused was based on loneliness and the desire of humans to talk to someone in these dire times. But Naya Safar focuses on a much more fundamental concept. Naya Safar is solely focused on “Work.”
And considering how COVID-19 affected the country’s economy, this concept was relatable. You will relate to the point where people are losing their livelihood because of this virus. Performances
The performances are one of the saving grace of the series. Artists like Saqib Saleem, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Nagraj Manjule, Neena Kulkarni just stole the show with their performances.
All the other cast members also knew what they were supposed to do. And they gave some of the best performances you will ever see in any mini-series.
Mashup of Genres

Unpaused: What Did Not Work For The Show
Brushing Of The Surface Only
Two episodes in the series felt like they were not researched at all. The Couple and Teen Tigada could have been excellent episodes. But it felt like the filmmakers just read some headlines and made the episodes. They did not feel researched at all. And that somehow took away my interest in the show.
Dialogues

It depends on how you approach this show. The mini-series is sweet at times but confusing at others. You can watch this series and have a good time. But you will also be disappointed at the same time.
