Death on the Nile Review: Death on the Nile is the successor to Murder on the Orient Express, initially released in 2017. The film is directed by Kenneth Branagh, who also stars in one of his most successful films as Hercule Poirot. Death on the Nile Review: The plot is set in Egypt, and the Nile river, where Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) decides to take a trip on the Nile River. However, on his boat is Linnet Ridgeway, the second wealthiest woman in the world after Mrs. Hubbard, and her stepson, Hector MacQueen.
The pair have a rocky relationship and are constantly arguing with each other. They are both suspects in the death of Linnet’s first husband, who was found dead during a hunting trip several years back. In addition to that, Poirot finds himself having to look into the suicide of one of his fellow boat passengers (Mary Debenham).
The main plot is set at the beginning of the film, where Poirot takes a trip on the Nile river to help solve the Murder of Linnet Ridgeway with her stepson, Hector MacQueen.
However, things quickly get interesting when he finds something suspicious about Mary Debenham as she is found dead in her cabin by Poirot’s hand. As Poirot attempts to solve this mystery quickly and quietly, he finds himself becoming more and more entangled with Linnet’s Murder.

The film was called an anti-climax of the first one, even though it was outstanding.
