Sarkaru Vaari Paata Review: Mahesh Babu is a star. We all know that. But he just proved that again in his latest project Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Sarkaru Vaari Paata created a lot of hype after the release of some South Indian hits like KGF 2 and RRR.
Everyone thought that this movie will be a banger. After all, Mahesh Babu was returning as a lead after almost 2 years. And moreover, he was returning in a comedy-action role and that is his forte.
And he did not disappoint a single bit. Everything he did in this movie was really good. It looked like he did not miss a single beat. His comic timing was just as good as it was before he took a break.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata Review: Plot
The official synopsis of the movie reads “A bank manager is tasked by the government to bring a fraudster to justice.”
The movie revolves around a bank manager named Mahesh (Mahesh Babu). After a fraud of 100 crores, the government will be in a panic. And in that panic, they will give responsibility to Mahesh to revive that 100 crores.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata Review: What Worked For The Movie?
Mahesh Babu
Let’s get the obvious thing out of the way. The movie was carried by Mahesh Babu on his back. Even when the movie felt a little bit sluggish in the second half, Mahesh Babu pulled it through. And made it worth watching.
There were a lot of doubts about whether Mahesh Babu will be able to pull off the comedy action hero thing again. And he did that brilliantly. It was like he never left for those two years. He understood that Parasuram needs a hero that will take charge and he did that flawlessly.
Romantic Angle
We don’t usually talk about an angle in the movie. But this one should be talked about. It was definitely one of the strongest parts of the movie. The first half is completely dominated by this romance angle.

Parasuram
We all know how good Parasuram is at narrating stories. And he did that here as well. His style of narrating simple yet serious topics with a bit of masala is unmatchable. And he succeeded in doing so in Sarkaru Vaari Paata as well for quite a while.
The way he linked the beginning, interval, and climax of the movie together was just brilliant. It took the movie from being good to excellent in just a matter of seconds. Sarkaru Vaari Paata Review: What Did Not Worked For The Movie?
Second Half
As good as the first half was, the second half suffered because of the same things that thrived in the first half. In the first half the romantic and comedy angle between Mahesh Babu, Subbaraju, and Keerthy Suresh was entertaining.
But the movie did not need that again in the second half as well. And it felt quite forced. There was no need for comedy and romance in the second half. The movie was dealing with such an intense topic and these sub-plots in the second half really hampered that intensity.
Sluggish and Falter
The beginning, interval, and climax of the movie are really good. But it felt really sluggish while reaching that climax. Especially in the second half, where it needed to bind us in the seats. And it failed to do so.
One of the reasons was definitely the forced comedy angle. But another reason was that the movie failed to get us invested emotionally. Sarkaru Vaari Paata: Is It Worth It?
It is definitely a one-time watch if you are looking for something entertaining. But if you are looking for something more than that you might skip it. The movie failed to get us emotionally invested and that was the downfall of the movie.
But the comedy and action sequences of the movie are really good. Even the direction of the movie is a sight to see. But definitely, if you are a Mahesh Babu fan, you have to watch it. As he is all over the movie. And definitely gave one of his best performances.
