Hotstar Special The Great Indian Murder trailer and its release date are announced now. On Tuesday as promised, Disney+ Hotstar announced the next Hotstar Specials web series — The Great Indian Murder, produced by Ajay Devgn and Priti Vinay Sinha. The series is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia (he also created Paan Singh Tomar).
The Great Indian Murder will be streaming from February 4 on Disney+ Hotstar in India, and Hulu in the US. The show is based on Slumdog Millionaire author Vikas Swarup’s 2016 novel Six Suspects. Mirzapur S3, The Boys S3, and more: 11 New Shows and Movies Coming On Amazon Prime in 2022.
The Great Indian Murder Plot
The Great Indian Murder follows two detectives, Suraj Yadav and Sudha Bhardwaj (played by Pratik Gandhi and Richa Chadha) as they dig into the murder of a politician’s playboy son Vicky Rai. After Vicky Rai is killed in a party he hosted himself — at the start of The Great Indian Murder trailer — his dad, a politician (played by Ashutosh Rana) demands a CBI inquiry for the investigation of the death of his son that pulls in Suraj Yadav (Gandhi, from Scam 1992) and Sudha Bharadwaj (Richa Chadha) as the in charge of the murder case of Vicky Rai.
Among the suspects, we have Mohan Kumar (played by Raghubir Yadav) who thinks of himself as the next Mahatma Gandhi, a gun-toting Shashank Arora who served as a waiter at Vicky’s party, and the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh whom Rai wants to pull down. Release Date
The Great Indian Murder will be streaming from February 4 on Disney+ Hotstar in India and Hulu in the US. It will be the second Hotstar Specials web series in 2022, following the Shefali Shah and Kirti Kulhari-led thriller drama Human that was released last week on January 14, 2022.
