The show once again finds the perfect combo of silliness and intensity!! And it is finally here. Cobra Kai Season 4 was as good as I expected it to be. The perfect combo of silly fun and intense action and drama really elevated the show. I think they couldn’t have done it any better.
I really thought that they would culminate the series with this season. Because in my opinion, there was nothing else they could have shown to us anymore. But how wrong I was. They set up the fifth season so wonderfully that I am excited about it now.
And that is exactly what a show is supposed to do. Entertain you throughout and make you excited for the upcoming season. The entertainment level of Cobra Kai Season 4 was amazing. There were very few scenes that bored me out.
They hit all the right nostalgia points, so every Karate Kid fan is in for a treat. And I think Cobra Kai is one of the few series that benefitted from being shifted to Netflix. As it is getting better with each passing season.
Cobra Kai Season 4 — Plot
The fourth season started right after the end of season 3. Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang have joined forces in a battle against Cobra Kai. Their battle will take place at the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament.
And whoever loses has their gi. Miguel and Samantha will do anything to save their dojo and on the other hand, Robbie has joined Cobra Kai. The stakes are higher than ever. There is not a single margin of a mistake this time around.
But the real problem once again is Kreese. Does he have anything up his sleeve? Let me give you a spoiler, Yes, he does. And another problem that lies within our protagonists is the relationship between Daniel and Johnny.
Will they be able to co-exist? Because if they don’t it will be the end of everything. We won’t tell you who won the tournament. You have to go and watch that, but trust me, it was a lot of fun.
Cobra Kai Season 4 — What Worked For The Show?
Character Development
I have always had one problem with Cobra Kai. Other than a few characters, every character is either bland or really annoying. But this season, it was all gone. Every character had something to do. Even characters like Sam and Tory were brilliant this time around.
Samantha felt interesting for the first time in the show. Kreese and Silver brought so much complexity with them. It was such a good change.
Pacing
The makers were not joking when they said that the fourth season will be fast. Because they were turbocharging right from the first episode. You won’t get the time to breathe when there is a kind of exchange. And the best thing is that it was not rushed at any point.
Action
I think the action was a big improvement from the past seasons. And the action was really good in those seasons too. They just knocked it out of the park this time around. Each fight had some meaning and story behind it which made it more intense.
Cobra Kai Season 4 — What Did Not Worked For The Show?
Fan Service
I know that this time the nostalgia points were in the right direction. But now, Cobra Kai has nothing to show in the fifth season. They have used up all of their nostalgic factors that it is very hard to ignore that now.
Cobra Kai — Is It Worth It?
YES!! It is absolutely worth it. It is a perfect weekend binge-watch-worthy show. And now that they don’t have any old characters other than Julie who can return, it is exciting. It means that the fifth season has to work on its own without any new nostalgic factors hitting in our face.
Other than that, the fourth season was a perfectly blended show. It had great comedy, amazing actions, and intense drama. Everything you want in your show is here.
