The upcoming Marvel project gets delayed for the 7th time. Morbius really has bad luck when it comes to the release of the movie. With the Omnicron variant on the rise, many movies have been delayed in the past few days. And Morbius is the latest movie to get delayed by COVID.
This is the exact thing that happened at the start of 2021. When almost every movie got delayed because of COVID. I hope we don’t get into the same phase again because there are so many movies I am looking forward to this year.
This delay might have come due to COVID. But this is the 7th time that Morbius has been delayed. The original release date of the movie was supposed to be July 10, 2020. So, it has been almost a year now.

Sony Pictures confirmed yesterday that Morbius will be delayed for almost 3 months following the new COVID variant outbreak. And I think that is for the best as human safety should always take priority.
Morbius: Plot
The official synopsis of the movie reads “Biochemist Michael Morbius tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease, but he inadvertently infects himself with a form of vampirism instead.”
The story revolves around Doctor Michael Morbius, a scientist who accidentally turns himself into a Vampire. Morbius will be an Anti-Hero in the cinematic universe just like Venom. In comics, he is one of the major enemies of Spider-Man.

The interesting thing is that we don’t know in which universe he will be in. In the first trailer of Morbius, we saw Vulture, who was the main villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming. But in the second trailer, many fans have pointed out that they saw Oscorp building from The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
All of these things are kind of making sense after No Way Home as we saw both of these universes. And we also saw Venom entering possibly into Andrew Garfield’s world. And if all of these theories are confirmed in Morbius we might get The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and that is just brilliant.

Morbius: Release Date
As I have said earlier the initial release date of the movie was July 10, 2020. But it got delayed 6 times and was supposed to release this month only. The scheduled release date was January 22, 2022.
But as the new Omnicron variant is spreading massively the movie has been delayed for 3 months now. The new release date of Morbius is April 1, 2022, now. And we hope there is no delay this time around.

The movie will release in the halls only and after some time it will land on a streaming platform. We predict that it will be around August that Morbius will be on a streaming platform.
Morbius: Cast
Jared Leto will make his return. With Morbius, he has worked in both DC and Marvel Comic Book movies. His role as Joker was not appreciated that much but he has reprised his role and this time he might nail that one too.

Morbius: What To Expect?
I was not that much excited for this one. But after No Way Home the scenario has completely changed and I want this movie now. This movie can answer so many questions and might even tell us the future of MCU.
If it does not tell us the future of MCU, we might get the idea about The Amazing Spider-Man 3. So, it is a win-win situation in every way you look at it.
