The massive success of Netflix Squid Games in India and various other parts of the world made Amazon think about streaming some top Korean Drama on its very own Video streaming Platform, PrimeVideo.
Recently, Squid Game broke all the records on Netflix. Korean Survival Gameshow, Squid Game is the Biggest show on Netflix ever. The show crossed over 111 million of viewership in just 28 days of its release.
We have already seen some of the great Korean web series, including, It’s Okay Not to Be Okay, featuring Kim Soo-Hyun and Seo Yea-Ji as the lead cast. The story was terrific, and Netflix viewers loved the show. Again, Squid Game proved, people love the Korean Drama series.
All these stats made Amazon think about streaming the Korean Drama shows on Amazon Prime. They have shared a list of series to be streamed on Prime Video, including one of the most famous Korean Dramas, Mrs Queen.
Amazon has announced increasing the Prime subscription charges by up to 50% and is now trying to convince Indian users to stay with PrimeVideo.
